Harwood, Baltimore, July 2016.
In Harwood, people were warm and curious. I made a fast friend, Reds, on Greenmount Ave and visited him every day. I handed out Polaroids to people. One afternoon, when an ice cream truck stopped by the park, I bought ice cream for a dozen kids, since only some of them had money. I think the driver helped out because all I had was $20.
I wish I could have stayed longer. I developed most of these rolls in motel bathrooms after leaving Baltimore and continuing on my road trip that summer.
