I made these on a cross-country drive with my mom in 2016, shortly after teaching myself to develop color film at home in a 5-gallon jug. On the road I only processed black and white, to avoid spilling deep crimson Blix in her back seat, and brought an Instax Wide to see pictures in color right away. By the end of the summer I had exposed about 40 rolls of color, shot alongside the black and white, which felt like a lot to hand process.
